"Clare Island - live version" by The Saw Doctors
Straight from Galway in Ireland. I first heard about the Saw Doctors from a mutual fan we made in Abilene. She urged me to check out this band, and I'm glad I did. The band plays Celtic rock, but not the type you would bang your head to, rather the songs I hear are full of passion, that you'd imagine at any major music festival. Your hands clapping in the hot sun. Sweat dripping as thousands cheer on one helluva a band. This song is the perfect Celtic song for the summer, a sensual fantasy on an island away far away from it all. It makes me wish I was back in Hawaii among the waves with my fiancee...and... it brings a smile to my face. I think it'll do the same for you. :) Hometown: Similar Artists: Website: The Saw DoctorsDownload MP3: none available Buy CD: Live in Galway (Live)

"The Wildflower" by Jessica Walsh and Allan Alexander
Jessica Walsh and Allan Alexander are the musicians behind Celtic Flute and Guitar. And if you wonder if this duo is any good, just ask their publisher ADG Productions. I'm here to say that this duo is exquisite! Not only do you have two very talented musicians performing a mix of traditional and original music with beautiful melodies intertwined in rhythmic phrases combined to form a kaleidoscope of sound, but the music is colorful and exciting, warm and enchanting. Best of all if you enjoy the mp3s, you can head over to ADG Productions and learn to play along. You see, MP3.com is just a side biz of something much more fun and beautiful and that is making music they love for a living. For the past two weeks, "The Wildflower" has commanded the #1 slot on the Celtic and World/Folk charts at MP3.com. It is a beautiful piece that evokes an image of a butterfly, fluttering through a field of wildflowers high up on a hill. The song will sweep you away in a flutter of peace and contentment. "I'll Tell My Ma" by Jim Brannigan
Celt Folk Entertainment at it's very best for Concerts, Social Club, Social Clubs, Folk Clubs, Festivals, Fairs, Restaurants, pubs, and conventions. JIM BRANNIGAN is Celtic to the bone. Born of Irish stock in a small town in the West of Scotland, Jim brings a performance which is pleasing to any room. I first heard this song by Austin duo, Widening Gyre. The song is just plain fun, and Jim's arrangement is just wonderful. His wonderful brogue perfectly compliments this chipper song about young courtship. But don't stop here. Jim Brannigan has several great songs, including "Carrickfergus", "Whiskey in the Jar" and a more traditional arrangement than ours of the "Whistling Gypsy Rover".
