Tears for Beers has been around for a while. They got their start nearly twelve years ago playing traditional Celtic music with modern influences. They achieved wonderful success and are now one of the most popular Celtic bands in Germany.
In the golden days of MP3.com, "Ye Jacobites By Name", climbed to #1 on the Celtic charts. The song spent many subsequent days back at the top of the charts and for good reason. Tears for Beers has a lot of great music (see my past reviews), but in my opinion, this is by far the best recorded song to date! The arrangement is well done and includes some blazing fiddle work and ripping bagpipes.
