Kenny Jamieson & Angus Battison are the main members that form this band that's performed on the U.K. folk music circuit for the past ten years.

Last week, I found a new favorite band and a new favorite song to boot. Schiehallion is the real deal. Straight from Dumbarton, UK, they perform a variety of traditional Celtic songs. Their MP3 site features in particular some amazing Scottish songs in the thickest brogue you're likely to hear.

"Killiecrankie" is an amazingly performed traditional Scottish song about the battle in 1689, where winner, Graham of Claverhouse (Bonnie Dundee) was slain, ending Jacobite hopes.

Their recording of this song is powerful, beautiful and about as understandable as our brobdingnagian. But that's okay! It is an amazing recording so, head on over there and download it.
