Every now and then I just surf MP3.com looking for some new Celtic acts to add to the Muse. And every one and a while I find a bright shining gem. Tara McKenzie is just such a gem. A woman after my own heart, Tara is a singer/songwriter who performs traditional Irish songs. She has a beautiful voice that reminds me of Loreena McKennit, but I like Tara's voice better. She sings as a woman who is sure of herself with passion and romance. And she has a nice repetoire of songs on her site, all very enjoyable.
Most Irish songs reflect A. Leaving Ireland B. Being Drunk C. Being forced to marry someone you dont want, and killing yourself or dying before your real boyfriend returns.
