Combining the best of Irish, Breton and Scottish traditional music, Poor Man's Fortune features some of the most famous Celtic musicians in Texas and brings decades of experience to a stage. Well known throughout the region for their stirring and authentic interpretations of traditional Celtic dance music. Poor Man's Fortune also performs traditional Breton and Scottish ballads.
If you've been on MP3.com for any length of time, no doubt you've heard of the New Zealand group, Lothlorien. Well, this band has a sound that reminds me of Lothlorien but this band is still together, and tearing up the Southwest with their incredible Breton and Irish tunes.
This tune is composed of 3 Irish Reels: Up Against the Buachalans, the Glass of Beer and The Scholar. It's been on my favorites station for a month now because it is brilliantly performed. The flute sweeps along like a bird through the Texas Hill Country. No doubt in my mind, this song should be at the top of the charts fighting for positions with Lothorien and any of our music. If you like, great, professionally recorded music, you will LOVE this band.
