Brigands' Folie, a duo based out of Minnesota, are known for playing traditional Irish, Scottish and English music, as well as for their edgy original works that are performed in the 18th Century style.
In fact, the duo have made it a personal goal to educate the public about the lives and stories of the 18th Century settlers, pioneers, soldiers and sailors through music of the period.
The ensemble features vocals, guitar, handcrafted bodhran and mandolin. Often their music is accompanied by penny whistle, fiddle, bass and bouzouki. The group has also been known to perform in period-appropriate attire during reenactments and Living History Encampments. This band brings the music of the 18th Century into the 21st Century...and it's done brilliantly.
