Enthusiasm, fun-loving, and unique. The Almost Irish Band fits this description perfectly. This small group of musicians enthusiastically play and sing Irish music, as well as a few other types, particularly Scottish tunes and bluegrass.

Their style and the era that they focus on allows them to do entire shows of period music, particularly during the Civil War era. They are booked often for Civil War reenactments and period dances.

Their shows are filled with exciting fiddle tunes, unique and haunting sounds of the hammered dulcimer, solid rhythm from the guitar or bango, and wonderful vocals.
