Do you like traditional Irish and Scottish music? If so, Appalachian Celtic Consort is a band that will completely grab your attention. In addition to the traditional tunes from Ireland and Scotland, ACC performs a little old-time and some original compositions.
One noticable difference from other Celtic group is their sound. Their music not only reflects traditional sounds from Ireland and Scotland, but also from the mountains and hills of West Virginia, which were settled by Scotch-Irish immigrants. The music has picked up a bit of the local flavor.
Appalachian Celtic Consort released their second album in May 2006, featuring a number of unique arrangements of traditional tunes as well as a few original pieces.
